Savannah family activities to resume in September, including wild animals and family activities

The Savannah family events and activities are returning to Savannah for the third time this year, including the return of the Savannah family nature activities.

The family activities are expected to resume September 8, 2018, with the annual Savannah Family Nature Day, which is scheduled for September 10.

The activities will include a family-friendly animal shelter for dogs and cats, a picnic and children’s entertainment area.

The Savannah City Council approved the event on Wednesday, April 10, 2018.

This is the second year that the Savannah City Department of Recreation and Parks has hosted the Savannah Family nature activities, which have been on the calendar for years.

The annual event also is a fundraiser for the Savannah Police Department and the National Wild and Scenic Rivers Foundation.

In addition to the Savannah Fire Department, the Savannah Savannah City Parks and Recreation Department and Savannah Police will be holding the event.

In 2018, more than 400 people attended the event, and this year there will be more than 100 people.
